Courtyard Dairy

If you want to cheer yourself up, order some fabulous cheese from the Courtyard Dairy, one of the best cheesemongers in the country.

There is so much to recommend on the website, but if you are quick you can bag one of the wonderful cheeses that are only available in the spring. St James, is a rind washed, sheep’s milk cheese made in small batches by Martin Gott and which has become a bit of a cult among cheese lovers.

We’ve told you before about Gillian Clough’s amazing Hebden Goat’s cheese. It’s another seasonal cheese now in the Courtyard Dairy. Gillian has only six goats in kid for milking so there are only tiny amounts available.

If and when these have sold out you can hardly go wrong with any of Andy Swinscoe’s carefully matured cheeses.
