Yorkshire's Independent Restaurant Guide

Moro: The Cookbook

It’s ten years since the first Moro cookbook was published, written by  Sam and Sam Clark, the husband and wife team behind London’s famous Moro restaurant.  It’s based on the cuisines of Spain, North Africa and the Eastern Mediterranean,  the food served in their London restaurants Moro and their tapas bar Morito. The Clark’s went on to publish two more books: Casa Moro and Moro East. To celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Moro cookbooks, Ebury have reissued all three books in paperback.

Casa Moro continues the theme of the first book, and Moro East is based around a year in their East End allotment that was sadly bulldozed in 2007 to make way for the London Olympics.

I love Moro’s food especially having visited Andalucia in the summer and loved  dishes like  scrambled eggs with asparagus, grilled sardines, boquerones and delicious shrimp pancakes: tortillatas de camarones, all dishes you will find in the Moro books.

You can win one of these inspirational books by entering our competition.
