Top Ten Favourites

The question we are most often asked is 'What is your favourite restaurant?'

The answer is that it all depends. Depends on the time, the place, the weather, the circumstances, the bank balance and the company as well as the chef, the cooking, the ambiance and the service, but we reckon you won't go far wrong with our Top Ten restaurants. But it keeps changing so keep checking and let us know if you agree.

Black Swan, Oldstead
Menus inspired by their kitchen garden and prepared by head chef Tommy Banks is simply stunning.
Gimbals , Sowerby Bridge
A long time favourite, Gimbals just gets better and better in downtown Sowerby Bridge.
Skosh, York
Inspired and innovative. This new York restaurant is the latest to join our top ten.
Fox & Hounds, Goldsborough
Tucked on a windy cliff top, this is possibly our favourite restaurant of all. Everything that emerges from Jason Davies' kitchen is spot on.
Eric's, Lindley
Sunshine food from Eric Paxton who cooked in Sydney, Australia before settling down in leafy Lindley.
Prashad, Drighlington, Bradford
If you ever thought you couldn't enjoy a meal without meat or fish, then go to Prashad for brilliant Gujurati, vegetarian Indian food.
Star Inn at Harome, Harome
It's hard to better lunch or dinner in the cosy bar at the Star at Harome. Yorkshire with a twist, Perny calls it and we concur.
Pipe and Glass, South Dalton
We love the gutsy food at this East Yorkshire gastropub. Proper food, proper portions.
Hare Inn , Scawton
This tucked-away 13th century country pub provides three high quality tasting menus.
Yorke Arms , Ramsgill in Nidderdale
Premium produce, creative dishes expertly cooked by the brilliant Frances Atkins. Enough said.
