Yorkshire's Independent Restaurant Guide

World Class Dinner

It sounds unlikely I know, but eleven of the world’s leading chefs will be gathering in Blackburn in the New Year to cook a five course signature meal on consecutive evenings.

It’s an annual event that was dreamed up 12 years ago by Nigel Haworth of  Northcote Manor, the Michelin starred restaurant with rooms at Langho, near Blackburn and is a celebration of top chefs and their food.  Nigel calls it Obsession, which refers to the dedication and single-mindedness of the chefs, but it could equally apply to the diners.  If you are a food obsessive then it’s time to get your cheque book out and book for one of the dinners.

The roll call is terrific – truly world class. If you’ve always wanted to eat at Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, Café Spice Namasté in London or further afield in Spain, Portugal or the U.S. but don’t have a hope in hell of getting there, then now is your chance to see what these guys are up to.

The dinners are hugely popular even at £100 a head plus wine, but lines opened today at 7.30am so get on the phone right now and book your place. I’m going for Anna Hansen after reviewing her book Modern Pantry and her stunning fusion food. See you there.

Dinners are held every night from 21st-30th January  7.30pm for 8.00pm.

Booking hotline: 01254 244508.
