Yorkshire's Independent Restaurant Guide

Out Today: Good Food Guide 2014

It’s that time again, the time when chefs wait nervously to see whether they are in or out, up or down.

The Good Food Guide  (recently taken over by Waitrose) the best of the food guides in our opinion – is out today with a brilliant six new Yorkshire entries. They are:

Yorke Arms ext

Yorke Arms at Ramsgill one of the top 50 restaurants in the UK

Blind Swine, York

Craven Heifer, Addingham

Crafthouse, Leeds

Reliance, Leeds,

Eat Me Café, Scarborough (brilliantly also the winner of Café of the Year award)

The Hare Inn, Scawton

The Yorke Arms at Ramsgill and the Box Tree, Ilkley appear in the GFG’s top 50 restaurants and the Magpie Café is listed under long service. It’s been in the Guide for 34 consecutive years.

We’d never say ‘we told you so’ but we always knew you were good, we’ve championed most of you on Squidbeak already.  Congratulations all.
