Here’s a project to get behind, especially if you live near Saltaire.
We’ve been contacted by Annie Mcpheee (not sure if that’s her real name and yes she does write it with treble e) who is soon to open a ‘low waste sustainable store cupboard shop’ called Mr Whetstone, opposite Nordish on Victoria Road in Saltaire.
The shop will be stocked with loose ingredients that you weigh and bag yourself in your own containers with refills for laundry, cleaning and hair care products. It will operate as a true community shop, says Annie with space for workshops, talks and socials. It all sounds a great idea and something well worth getting behind.
