We’ve told you the GB story; two young foodie entrepreneurs left dull jobs to build a street food business on the front in Saltburn, and after months of wrangling with the council, they’re good to go. They’ve ditched their wobbly tent – Dave and his dad Les have built a very cute boat shaped trailer – and they’ll sell their fab food from it. They came to the Staithes Festival last year and were a huge success; hundreds of visitors enjoyed their freshly cooked fish, fiery noodle boxes and pulled pork butties – and now they’ve added battered oysters, the Greedy Mother Clucker griddled chicken & rainbow slaw, Suitably Smokey Sauce and Lovely Lime Mayo to their mouth-watering menu.
Trip along to the promenade at Saltburn on Saturday 1st June, say hello to Dave and Emily – and Clem the boat – and tuck in to some of the freshest, most delicious and simply cooked food (street or otherwise) you’ll have had for a while.
