It’s not quite on our patch, but we like the sound of Hartington’s a company running food fairs in and around the Peak District.
Based in Baslow near Chatsworth House, Hartington’s put on regular food fairs showcasing the region’s artisan food producers. The next one is the weekend of 2nd/3rd April in Baslow Village Hall and will feature around 20 food producers: Artisan breads from the Welbeck Bakehouse, homemade pesto from the punningly named Hey Pesto, Simon Davidson, Cheese Factor and cakes and hampers from Tindalls of Tideswell.
It all sounds good stuff and Chatsworth House, the Chatsworth Farm Shop and Hartington’s Spring Food Fair sounds to me like a good day out. If you go, why not drop us a line and let us know what you think.
