Seaview, Saltburn
If you’re one of those people who like to see exactly where your food has come from, Seaview is right up your street. The clue is in the name. Book a table on the first floor and you’ve got an uninterrupted view of Saltburn’s magnificent Victorian pier, and the North Sea, where your supper was caught. The fish & chips here are as good as you’ll find anywhere on this coast, as the queues snaking along the prom, summer and winter will testify, but there’s so much more on the (mainly fishy) menu: cod loin with chorizo and salsify, seafood linguine, or if you’re up for a proper treat, lobster and chips with a glass of fizz.
