Back in 2012, chef Adam Jackson secured a Michelin star for the Black Swan at Oldstead taking it from village pub to gastro stardom in just five years. His ambition though was always to have his own place and he set up first in the stables at Sutton Park in Sutton on Forest and more recently at Marmadukes Hotel in York. This week it was announced that Jackson had been appointed executive chef at the Feversham Arms Hotel the rather glitzy hotel in Helmsley, the one with a spa and outdoor swimming pool. The dining room at the Feversham has struggled for some time to match the glamour of the spa so the challenge for Jackson is to bring it up to scratch. Watch this space.
