There are now so many food businesses offering delivery or click and collect that it’s hard to keep up. One person who is keeping up and doing a fantastic job of it is Kiki Burton of Cardamom and Dill. Her Nourish York page lists a host of deliveries in and around York which she updates every day. That’s commitment. She has also teamed up with the Yorkshire Food Guide for a list of restaurants across the county providing deliveries
A few suppliers picked at random include wonderful sourdough from Bluebird Bakery and Haxby Bakehouse, Fowlers of York will deliver fresh fish, Cochon Aveugle has a fabulous restaurant delivery service: three courses with wine. There’s Shambles Market, Staals Smokehouse, cheese and wine tastings from Love Cheese and on it goes, so remember to check the site regularly.
If you don’t know Kiki, she was a brand manager in London before moving to York. She’s also a talented cook (see pic) and until recently she was serving lunches and a monthly pop-up at the Schoolhouse Gallery in York and latterly at Spark. Just before the lock down she was running a supper club at Sketch in York Art Gallery and evenings at Bistro Guy on Gillygate. When the Covid-19 is over, keep an eye on her site for further developments.
In the meantime take a look at her website, which is packed with recipes and photographs of her glorious Mediterranean inspired vegetarian dishes and sign up to her newsletter for regular updates.
