If you haven’t yet discovered Bedern Hall in York, or even if you have, trot along on 8th March for their new Local Lunch Club. Bedern is a beautiful 13th century Hall, once home to the choristers of York Minster. It’s tricky to find, tucked away off Goodramgate (opposite the National Trust shop) but worth the effort to trial the monthly lunch club – two courses for £12 served 12.30pm-2pm. The first lunch being on Pancake Day is naturally pancakes savoury and sweet made with local ingredients like Grewelthorpe flour and Thixendale rape seed oil. Lunches will be served monthly Register in advance at www.bedernhall.co.uk
