It was awards night last week. Visit England gave Samuel’s at Swinton Park a Gold in the Taste of England awards and Drewton’s Farm Shop near Beverley were Highly Commended.
The AA were also dishing out the gongs. One of them to Jane and Neil McNair for their lovely Low Mill Guest House for Guest Accommodation of the Year. Congratulations to all.
Close to our heart are the Guild of Food Writers Awards, a) because it showcases some of the best food writing in the UK and b) a) because Jill is a member. Special mention to friend Hattie Ellis on picking up two awards, the Miriam Polunin Award for Work on Healthy Eating and the Food Book of the Year Award for her remarkable book What to Eat? 10 Chewy Questions About Food.
