Dotty's Tea Room Staithes

We just love Trudie Ward's fab vintage shop - she really knows her stuff and does all the sourcing so you don't have to - and now she's opened the sweetest little caff next door, using all the lovely china cups and saucers she's been collecting for years. There's nothing vintage about her gleaming espresso machine though - it hisses and spits and delivers a terrific flat white - and you know what a coffee snob I am. Scones the size of elephant's feet come from a local bakery and the cakes from a talented maker in Pickering. We can recommend a potter round the shop - Trudie's collection of coloured glass is particularly appealing - followed by a cuppa next door. All this and you're by the sea! What could be better?

She doesn't have a website yet so find her Facebook page 'Dotty about Vintage'.
